Installer E.L. Systems: “Custom lighting with fast delivery, that’s Multiline”
E.L. Systems, an electrical installation company, handles a broad range of projects, including public buildings, schools, industrial sites, and large apartment complexes. In this diverse and demanding market, lighting plays an essential role. For over 30 years, they have trusted Multiline to provide high-quality, energy-efficient, and visually appealing lighting solutions, both standard and customized. Danny Werckx, co-founder and managing director of E.L. Systems, shares how he and his brothers Guido and Erik successfully complete lighting projects, such as Het Fruitspoor in Borgloon.
A strong partnership through customization and flexibility
“Multiline stands out due to its wide range of lighting solutions and the ability to create fully customized luminaires. For us, it’s important that the lighting is not only technically flawless but also aesthetically fits the project,” says Danny. “Multiline provides that flexibility, with luminaires available in any desired RAL colour and fast delivery. That’s a huge advantage in our industry.”
“The direct communication with Multiline ensures that projects run efficiently. We deal directly with the manufacturer, eliminating unnecessary intermediaries. This enables us to respond quickly to specific needs and deadlines,” Danny continues.
Energy-efficient lighting and a sustainable vision for the future
The lighting industry has undergone a major transformation. What was once dominated by fluorescent and discharge lamps has now shifted entirely to LED technology. “Energy-efficient lighting is becoming increasingly important,” says Danny. “With increasing energy costs, we are always searching for the optimal balance between efficiency, sustainability, and technology. Multiline supports us with innovative, energy-efficient solutions and advanced light control systems like DALI and presence detection.”
Fast delivery and local craftsmanship
One major advantage of working with Multiline is its local in-house production. “Nowadays, many luminaires come from China, making delivery times unpredictable. Multiline produces in Limburg and can deliver custom-made solutions within four to six weeks. That makes a huge difference for us,” Danny explains.
Het Fruitspoor: a perfect blend of customization and sustainability
Het Fruitspoor in Borgloon is a nice example of our successful collaboration. Situated next to the Stroop Museum and a key stop along the cycling route between Sint-Truiden and Tongeren, this project required a carefully designed lighting solution that seamlessly combined functionality with aesthetics.
Thanks to our ability to provide custom solutions and flexible delivery times, E.L. Systems was able to perfectly meet the architectural requirements of the project. The fixtures were delivered in the same RAL color as the steel and wood structures of the building, ensuring seamless integration into the design. Additionally, speed was a crucial factor, and our production was fully equipped to meet this demand.
In addition to aesthetics, sustainability played an essential role. The lighting is entirely based on energy-efficient LED technology, combined with smart controls such as DALI and presence detection. This contributes to an energy-efficient and environmentally responsible building—a growing trend across the industry.
