Rekta 20 Wide Optic: efficient lighting for flexible layouts
At Multiline, we design lighting that evolves with the needs of modern working and living environments. The new Rekta 20 Wide Optic is a clear example of this approach. Thanks to the innovative Wide Optic, this luminaire combines high efficiency with a wide, uniform light distribution — ideal for projects where the layout may still change. With Rekta 20 Wide Optic, you are assured of a future-proof, efficient solution that adapts effortlessly to any space.
Choose the light distribution that suits your project
Until now, customers could opt for the Rekta 20 with LRL optics. This optic offers an optimal balance between visual comfort and the discreet appearance of the luminaire. With the new Wide Optic, we introduce an alternative that focuses on efficiency, making it particularly suitable for ceiling heights of 2.80 metres or higher, where a module spacing of at least 2.70 metres is required.
The optics and louvre have been optimised to create a wider light beam with higher efficiency. Two finishing options are available: WOB (Wide Optic Black) and WOW (Wide Optic White).
Higher efficiency, fewer luminaires
The new Wide Optic makes the Rekta 20 even more efficient in use. Thanks to the broader light distribution, the same lighting levels can be achieved with fewer luminaires, without compromising visual comfort or uniformity. The wider beam also allows for greater spacing between luminaires while still meeting lighting comfort standards. Fewer luminaires per space result in lower installation costs and a better cost per square metre.
In addition, the Wide Optic extracts more performance from every watt of energy. Combined with high-quality components and refined design, this results in a solution that is both energy-efficient and financially sustainable — a major advantage for the rental market and large-scale projects.
Flexibility for a wide range of applications
Another key advantage of the Wide Optic is its flexibility. Architects and engineering consultants can specify the luminaire for spaces where the final layout or end user has not yet been defined. Regardless of the configuration, all required standards are met: UGR <19 and a uniformity of at least 0.6.
This flexibility makes the Rekta 20 Wide Optic particularly suitable for office lighting and other projects where versatile application is essential.
Always the right solution for your lighting design
The introduction of the Wide Optic gives customers a clear choice: the trusted visual comfort and discreet appearance of LRL optics, or maximum efficiency with fewer luminaires thanks to the Wide Optic. In both cases, the unmistakable quality of Multiline is guaranteed.

Lighting in Public Buildings: From Cost Item to Sustainable Investment
Lighting in public buildings is often assessed primarily on the basis of standards, budgets and specifications. This is understandable, but not sufficient. Those who focus solely on delivery frequently pay the price later in the form of high maintenance costs, limited flexibility or premature failures. At Multiline, we approach lighting in public buildings as a strategic investment that must continue to perform reliably over the long term.

Innovation is embedded in our operations, just like sustainability and digitalization. These will remain the cornerstones of our vision for the future. In this blog, you’ll discover how our years of experience contribute to our current success and to the lighting of tomorrow.
