17 kilometers of lighting fixtures for new office building
Amdocs, a well-established technology company with a legacy spanning over 30 years, carefully selected Multiline interior lighting for their new office building. Vered Korisky, Marketing and Sales Manager at Karney Tchelet, tells us everything about the installation of 17 kilometers of our Rekta 40 I.

With over 1,000 employees, Amdocs embarked on a mission to create a more flexible, calm, and adaptable work environment. “Amdocs initially employed 60 by 60 lighting fixtures, and the goal was to transition to a new lighting solution seamlessly without causing any disruption.” Vered confirms. “The company’s vision was to maintain a pleasant workspace that could serve as a multi-functional area. Amdocs aimed to create flexible working spaces that could accommodate changing needs and maintain an open and productive atmosphere.”

“An entire floor for experimentation”
The Rekta 40 I was chosen for its quality, but concerns about glare and excessive brightness arose. “To ensure that the final lighting solution met the company’s expectations, several mock-ups were created. This meticulous approach was very important due to the project’s complexity and the need for precision.”
“A unique approach was taken by designating an entire floor for experimentation, allowing employees to experience the atmosphere, including desks and lighting, before making a final decision. The success of this trial led to the implementation of a substantial 17-kilometer installation of Rekta 40 I lighting fixtures throughout the building.”

Focus on effective workspace illumination
The approach of lighting designer Orly Avron Alkabes emphasized that the lighting should complement the architecture and focus on illuminating the workspace effectively. Vered explains how Karney Tchelet put this approach into practice: “The Rekta fixtures were strategically positioned, providing a balanced illumination that contributed to the overall aesthetics of the workspace.”
“The project’s implementation was based on a DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) system, allowing for precise control of lighting levels across the 17 kilometers of installed fixtures. However, the project was not without its challenges, especially given its extensive scale, both physically and logistically. Consistency and communication were essential, as multiple contractors were involved. Managing the flow of information and addressing issues promptly was crucial. Managing the project required hands-on supervision, including on-site inspectors to oversee the installation. Challenges, both technical and logistical, were encountered, but the final result is a beautiful and functional workspace.”
“This project again revealed the importance of working with a trusted partner, like Multiline. The familiarity with the Rekta lighting fixture and the reliability of Multiline were significant advantages. Amdocs found value in a long-term partnership with a brand that could provide continued support and service even after several years.”
