Classic rally cars shine bright under Multiline lighting
In April 2025, Squadra – an impressive new experience center - will open its doors to the public. Designed as the ultimate destination for Abarth enthusiasts and classic rally car lovers, Squadra provides a setting where no detail was overlooked. Multiline had the honor of equipping this new building with high-quality lighting solutions, with expert installation by Belcotec.
Lighting challenges masterfully solved
Located in Lier, Squadra offers visitors the chance to admire beautifully restored classic cars. Spread across multiple floors, the building features nine exhibition rooms, a spacious atrium, workshop, warehouse, offices, library, shop, and more. A prestigious project like this demanded nothing less than perfect lighting.
The DALI-controlled three-phase track lighting in the exhibition spaces offers maximum flexibility. Each spotlight can be individually adjusted and controlled, allowing the client to highlight the cars precisely as envisioned by the scenographer. Honeycomb louvres on the luminaires diffuse the light and subtly reduce glare. With a single press of a button on the TELETASK home automation system, the perfect ambiance can be effortlessly set.
A complete experience with the right lighting
Squadra offers a truly immersive experience for car enthusiasts. A stylish welcome with matching lighting greets visitors as they enter the building. Our fixtures also illuminate the library filled with automotive literature and the impressive atrium, which serves as a venue for networking events and product presentations. In the shop, warm and atmospheric lighting highlights a deep appreciation for craftsmanship.
In the underground restoration workshop and the parts warehouse, our functional lighting ensures optimal working conditions. In the exhibition spaces, track-mounted spotlights provide flexible illumination, while the sleek Rekta 30 fixtures – combining linear lighting with adjustable spotlights – bring both style and functionality to the offices and meeting rooms.
The power of collaboration
For this project, Belcotec, as the technical installer, teamed up with engineering firm OSQB under the direction of AID Architects. This collaboration resulted in a lighting concept that seamlessly blends aesthetics with functionality, fully in line with the client’s vision. Belcotec deliberately chose Multiline for our excellent price-quality ratio and the strong, long-standing partnership we’ve built over the years.

We don’t just look at the purchase price but at the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) — including energy consumption, maintenance, flexibility, and lifetime. This blog explains how to make the right decision between refitting and relighting.

Lighting in Public Buildings: From Cost Item to Sustainable Investment
Lighting in public buildings is often assessed primarily on the basis of standards, budgets and specifications. This is understandable, but not sufficient.
