Outside the box lighting solution for Isracard
Isracard, a large credit card company, undertook a monumental project: a 20,000 square meter, 16-floor endeavor with highly customized Rekta profiles for the office lighting. To achieve this, a unique approach was taken by lighting designer Orly Avron Alkabes and elite lighting provider Karney Tchelet, transforming the basic Rekta into a decorative element by replacing cables with poles.

Navigating traditions and innovations
In the dynamic landscape of architectural design, lighting serves as a transformative element, shaping spaces and influencing experiences. This project presented an intriguing challenge: a client accustomed to traditional spaces and lighting fixtures, combined with an innovative architectural design from Gindi Studio, a leading firm known for its creativity in designing spaces for major companies. Bridging this gap required building trust and designing offices that aligned with both the client’s traditional preferences and the architect’s innovative vision.
Layers of light and space
The design aimed for a harmonious blend of functionality, flexibility, and aesthetics. Open-space offices spanning multiple floors were to be complemented by private areas such as private offices, cafeterias, and meeting rooms. The challenge was to create a solution that was both professional and decorative, high-performance yet flexible.

The art of customization with Rekta 40 by 50
The Rekta 40 by 50 emerged as a key component in this project, providing the desired volume and decoration. To achieve this, a unique approach was taken by lighting designer Orly Avron Alkabes and elite lighting provider Karney Tchelet, transforming the basic Rekta into a decorative element by providing the power supply in the fixed rods that connect the various profile parts to each other and by adding a conical pendant. This not only added a layer of decoration but also changed the perception of the fixture, creating a rhythm and presence throughout the space.
Vered Korisky, Marketing and Sales Manager at Karney Tchelet, confirms collaboration is key in such intricate projects: “Multiline’s flexibility played a pivotal role in the custom design, ensuring the project’s success despite the challenges. The collaboration with all suppliers was close, and Multiline’s ability to be adaptable and accommodating proved crucial.”

The journey from concept to reality
The Isracard project stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of all involved. From the initial planning and customization to the on-site challenges and final execution, the project was a substantial achievement. A tailored combination of light and space that satisfied the architect, lighting designer, and, most importantly, the client.
